NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

All members are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Australian Indonesian Association of Victoria Inc., details are below:

Date and time: Wednesday 23 November 2022 at 7 pm

Location: Via Zoom*.

Zoom link: Zoom link for the meeting will be sent upon registration. To attend the meeting, please first download the Zoom application onto a computer, tablet or smartphone. 

Registration: 

To register your attendance, please click on the "Register" button. For those who are unable to register online, please email your name, telephone number and the number of people attending to secretary@aiav.org.au no later than 18 November 2022.

Once registered you will receive the meeting papers and the attendance link.

ELECTION OF COMMITTEE

Current financial members are invited to nominate themselves or other members for the committee using the nomination form attached. To nominate, complete the form and send to:

Your nomination must reach our PO box or our secretary’s email inbox no later than
Friday 18 November 2022.

Note: *Holding an online meeting is permitted by the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012, whereby, although AIAV has its own constitution, “the relevant provisions of the model rules will be deemed to apply” in other matters. Model rule 35 states that:

“(1) A member not physically present at a general meeting may be permitted to participate in the meeting by the use of technology that allows that member and the members present at the meeting to clearly and simultaneously communicate with each other.

(2) For the purposes of this Part, a member participating in a general meeting as permitted under subrule (1) is taken to be present at the meeting and, if the member votes at the meeting, is taken to have voted in person.”
