Term 4 Online Language Class 2026 (06 Oct 2026)

Selamat datang di kelas Bahasa Indonesia. If you're a regular, it's lovely to have you back. If you're a new visitor, then welcome and we hope that you'll find a ramah (friendly) home amongst our Daring (Online) Language Classes.

AIAV is pleased to be able to offer you 4 levels of online language classes on Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. The classes will be held over Zoom.

The levels are:

1. Pemula (Beginners).

2. Madya (Intermediate).

3. Madya Atas (Upper Intermediate).

4. Mahir (Advanced).

Your first step is to become a member of AIAV.

Once you have become a member the enrolment portal will open up and you will be able to enrol in your online class.

The term will run for 8 weeks, starting on Tuesday 6 October 2026 and concluding on Tuesday 1 December 2026. The full rate is $280.00, with an Early Bird rate of $252.00 paid on or before 22 September 2026.

Term 4 Online Conversation Class 2026 (07 Oct 2026)

AIAV is pleased to be able to offer you 2 levels of Online Conversation Classes on Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. The classes will be held over Zoom.

The levels are:

1. Secondary School Student Class

2. Adult Student Class

If you're a Secondary student enrolling, then you're not required to become a member of AIAV but you may choose to do so at the concession rate. However all adult participants are required to become a member of AIAV.

The term will run for 8 weeks, starting on Wednesday 7 October 2026 and concluding on Wednesday 25 November 2026. The rate is $160.00 for the term. As this is already a discounted price, the Early Bird discount does not apply.

Term 4 Face To Face Language Class 2026 (08 Oct 2026)

AIAV is pleased to be able to offer you 7 levels of Face to Face Language Classes on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The classes will be held in person in the CBD at the Multicultural Hub, 506 Elizabeth St, Melbourne.

The levels are:

1. Pengantar (Introductory).

2. Pemula A (Lower Beginners).

3. Pemula B (Upper Beginners).

4. Madya Bawah (Lower Intermediate).

5. Madya (Intermediate).

6. Madya Atas (Upper Intermediate).

7. Mahir (Advanced).

Your first step is to become a member of AIAV.

The term will run for 8 weeks, starting on Thursday 8 October 2026 and concluding on Thursday 26 November 2026. The full rate is $320.00, with an Early Bird rate of $288.00 paid on or before the 24 September 2026.

Annual General Meeting 2026 (14 Nov 2026)

Notice of Annual General Meeting

All members are cordially invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Australian Indonesian Association of Victoria Inc. Details of the AGM are as follows:

Date and Time: Saturday, 14 November 2026 at 11:00 a.m.

Location: Meeting Room 2, Camberwell Community Centre

A Zoom link* for the meeting will also be available for those who cannot attend in-person and will be sent upon registration.

To register your attendance, please select the "Register" button. There is no cost to attend the meeting.

For those who are unable to register online, please email your name, telephone number, and the number of people attending to secretary@aiav.org.au no later than Friday, 14 November 2025.

Current financial members are invited to nominate themselves or other members for the committee. Both Committee Officer positions (President, Vice President, and Secretary) and Committee Member positions (2026) are available. To nominate, please complete the following form(s):

Your nomination(s) must be submitted and/or reach our PO box or secretary's email inbox no later than Saturday, 7 November 2025.

Note: *Holding an online meeting is permitted by the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012, whereby, although AIAV has its own constitution, “the relevant provisions of the model rules will be deemed to apply” in other matters. Model rule 35 states that:

“(1) A member not physically present at a general meeting may be permitted to participate in the meeting by the use of technology that allows that member and the members present at the meeting to clearly and simultaneously communicate with each other.

(2) For the purposes of this Part, a member participating in a general meeting as permitted under subrule (1) is taken to be present at the meeting and, if the member votes at the meeting, is taken to have voted in person.”
